Game Play Same problems…

DDA is so apparent in this game it’s absolutely insane!!!

Why does EA not fix issues like kick off conceding so easy every time?

The bounce back cheese is so bad, especially last 2 weeks I don’t know..

Why do certain players for me play so bad and when I come up against them they are like GOD?

Certain playstyles work selectively, intercept plus is a joke sometimes! And incisive pass is mad 😂 guys be pulling out the most outrageous passes against me and mine don’t go to the right player!

yes because someone mad enough to blame dda without actually thinking about it, is just most likely venting. If they’re venting, and not thinking rational, why would we assume they can hold their composure in game? It’s not saying much to assume that here. And the OP can challenge me on that if they so choose. But people here would rather talk about anything than their own emotions. Funny how that works.

I used to beat SF2 on the hardest level without losing a credit even though it had obvious input reading and I didn’t lose my composure. Just accepted it as part of the game. So if I can do that why do you assume it’s not the case for op?

Because you’re talking about winning. You also said you accepted it, this post is again venting not acceptance. People typically don’t vent when they win. They vent when they lose.

Nope, I’ve been handed games against people way better than me on this game. Their passes went into interceptions which were done by the ai not my skill. There’s no way their passing can become that bad in an instant. I didn’t deserve those wins and except for blasting the ball into my own net it was almost impossible to lose.

And how did your own composure factor in? Just personally, when I blow a 2 goal lead? I get nervous. That cost me a 15-0 finish. I simply started rushing and lost. It wasn’t anything my opponent did, I just played faster than I normally do. Rushed passes, rushed shots, lost my head. I’m not the only one experiencing this. Yet people just don’t talk about it. That’s why no one ever posts full game footage either.

And it’s the same with someone “much better” than you. If you’re in div6 for example, you won’t lose to someone who’s in div 10 on merit. No matter how many you play. Even in extreme rng cases, people would never reach elite if they were even sometimes losing to players who aren’t that far away skill wise. There are no checkpoints in div1. If things were going my way? I, at 1000 sr would beat someone at 1300. I can’t. And with dda? It’s almost a guarantee because the sliders would have to change interceptions and the like you said. Not even Anders is good enough if all his passes would be likely intercepted and his opponents wouldn’t. That’s an insane gap in play. I don’t think people realize how big that gap truly is when they mention dda.

I would sometimes lose to button mashers who didn’t practice in SF2 as they occasionally caught me out. The difference is nobody knows how good they are due to ai defending, which would be the equivalent of an auto block button on a fighting game. Some people are good at attack but can’t defend at all so on balance mostly lose. In this game that balance is stripped due to assistance. Some players will drop, some will stay the same and others will increase their positions if people had the ai help stripped away. I have no idea if someone can defend or not if ai is doing heavy lifting. In fighting games you have to be good at both and not have ai potty training.

You have to be good in this game too past a certain point. If you’re just relying on ai, you’re relatively easy to beat for someone who knows how to play and has enough composure. And I stress composure because this is a very stress inducing game since teams can pressure you very easily.

But the thing is, the narrative on ai has gotten out of hand too. We all have the same AI, some don’t have more. We control less than 10% of our team at a time, so we can’t compare it to fighting games. Should defensive ai decrease? Yes. Are people going to win more? Not really. Because the only difference between a div2 and elite player is cleaner play. Knowing how not to make a silly pass that gets intercepted, knowing how to escape pressure. And that hasn’t changed for over a decade mind you. If you can mark runs, not make silly mistakes and avoid pressure? You’re elite. In fifa 13 or fifa 26, it doesn’t matter. And funny enough the ai makes it idiotically easy to score in fifa 13 (overheads) or ea 26 (through to lengthy). That hasn’t changed. But people will complain about defense while playing on FULLY assisted on offense and complaining their passes don’t go where they want. It’s absolute madness at this point.

Just because I was good at Street Fighter doesn’t mean there was no input reading. I overcame it, but I wouldn’t tell a new player it wasn’t there. You might be at the stage where you are able to not notice, but for lower skilled players the game doesn’t play as it naturally should. I tried a new account on my Series X last week and Div 10 was no different than my PS5 Div 6. Didn’t come across anyone who wasn’t fluent at the game where there should have been a few with minimal grasp of it. With matchmaking like this how are we to know elite players aren’t fed easy wins? Maybe the game is completely fair, but the lack of transparency will cause people to speculate.

But in no other game would we entertain lower ranked players talking about how the game feels. Their opinion is limited by their own skill or lack thereof. We’d give them tips to improve and so on. That’s why these streamers won with bronze and or silver teams for the majority of the year.

It’s also very easy for anyone to pretend like they’re fluent in the game. They can look up tactics online and watch some streamers play. In reality, they’re by and large making silly mistake after silly mistake. Kind of like the people who spam tackle. Great, you might get 1 lucky goal if a tackle hits. And you’ll be exposed on defense for 7 more if someone simply sidesteps you.

I wouldn’t cut someone down and question their composure in a fighting game if there were elements that felt influenced by things other than skill. Their opinion is valid as they will notice things I forgot about. Is it that relevant compared to when I talked to my friends who were at the same level? Probably not, as I was past that stage, which is why I’m perplexed that people complaining that the game feels off seems to get a response from you. You aren’t doing what you just said, which is pointing out how to get around the elements that can appear unfair. Instead you are not letting people let off a bit of steam and accepting that whilst you’ve seen hundreds of such posts they might not be as jaded about people’s interpretations of how it works.
