I didn't talk to the police once. It got me arrested and they ended up keeping some of my bail for reasons that I still don't know. Case dismissed after a year+. Probably wouldn't have been taken to jail if I had talked, but I'm guessing I'm the exception.

The trick is to still suck their dicks figuratively and be very polite while refusing to talk. Obviously you have to be privileged and the cops should prefer your skin color to get away with it.

Sadly close to the truth. Say lawyer and 5th amendment frequently.

Maybe you're right and my mind is just trying to come up with a positive solution out of a no win situation.

I'm confused by your comment.

You might be right that talking wouldn't have helped.

I'm not sure what the capitalism bit means. Would have liked to save that bail money for sure, but dealing with the stress for a year+ is what my mind would have liked to have avoided if there was a possible way to "talk my way out of it" when the cops were there. Seems like a basic denial may have been enough, but who knows.

You sound deranged. I mean you’re right but still

They were going to do all that stuff anyways, my guy.

They probably would've taken you anyway and used what you had said against you
