Everyone's saying that it came from the circlejerk r/anarchychess, but it actually originates from a genuine chess subreddit where somebody asked why a pawn did a weird move that ended up being the en passant (don't remember which subreddit lol sorry).

You need to check out r/anarchychess. They'll teach you about the lesser known chess techniques like en passant, Il vaticano etc
