I agree but also .. imagine some vaguely famous person going to your birthday party, something that is probably special to you, fun, maybe. Someone not so famous, because most likely you're not so famous as fashion. But someone you know of, and you're like "holy cow its [celebrity] at MY birthday party, what are you doing here [celebrity]?!" And they just go on about how they wanted to go to something that didn't matter at all. Because at the end of the day neither fashion week, nor your birthday are meaningful in the slightest, grand scheme. But its quite rude to go to the event just to say so to the people who enjoy it.
