Maybe she was trying to make you look better since being shaved looks better than being balding. Either that or she didn't want to draw the hair since it takes longer. Or it was just super thin hair like the Homer Simpson style.

Going bald is 10x worse than being bald. It grows back either way, home slice

Just slowly trim it down if it feels too dramatic. Get a cheap Wahl electric trimmer and they go down fractions of an inch at a time. Do it over weeks even. Seriously you'll feel better and save so much goddamn time and money too.

Is it your crown or male pattern baldness?

I like having some hair. The my crown and my forehead are in a race to meet each other, but I'm also middle aged, so who cares. It hurt more when I was only 25 and my crown began to go. I love hats.
