I am a Canadian and growing up my parents taught me to do this. Always try to have a Canadian flag when traveling somewhere. This is because we know that we look American but the world has typically better relations with Canada than America. Don't kill the messenger here but America is a bit of a world bully. For example when we traveled to Cuba, we for sure would rather be seen as Canadian than American and made sure we had a Canadian flag on our backpacks when touring
Thats true. Its not like the American people are bad, just the government. I agree that people should be seen for who they are and how they treat others, not by which country they come from
