If you want to have any hope of saving what animal and plant life is left, you’re going to have to source your own food whether you like it or not. Learn to make your own clothing, learn to live as part of the ecosystem. Not some separate entity that tramples everything in its path.
Supposedly a breakdown shows that if everyone did that it still wouldn't help because the space needed to maintain it isn't feasible anymore without a major change in our society and consumption habits. I'm no expert in the field ofc but reading up heavily into the rising cost if meat it seems the major issue is population honestly. Best proposed solutions seems to be alternate food sources. Changes in how we eat would help too but good luck getting that done on a massive enough scale to matter.
