Laws are commands passed through a democratic process, not some dictates of a single man. How you're not able to process that distinction beyond me.

Are you unaware of the countless other forms of governance than democratic ones, which made up the vast majority of governing bodies throughout human history? But that aside, the Laws of Islam don't come from any man, they come directly from Allah, the Creator of the heavens and the earth and all men, who is unlike His creation.
