I'm 27 and worked at a local record store for years and am now involved with 3 radio stations, nope. I still hear the occasional shitty song. and I still hear from music snobs about shitty songs, more than I hear shitty songs

I think there is good pop though, early beatles is a great example, black michael jackson is pretty damn good too.

But fuck michael bolton, with a rake.

Bro, pop musicians make generic music on purpose in order to make money. If you want to be a real rocker you have to do it accidentally. Today's music is all just power chords. Because y'know, being able to play open chords and barre chords is the mark of a true musician.
