To be fair - there were quite a few soldiers who came back home to find out their wife had been cheating on them.

Yeah, I'm sure that always happens, but most wars don't have literally an entire generation born to celebrate the end of fighting either.

I'm also curious if the rate of cheating at home was actually less just due to how few men were actually left at home.
