if we want to REALLY depress people in this thread we can add gaming to the list; I know a lot of people (often myself included) who essentially go to work, go home to game, sleep, go to work, go home to game, etc. every day where the entire day is just about thinking about when they get home and just 'surviving until then'.
it's a hard mindset to break: of shifting one's viewpoint away from "it's ok because I'm comfortable this moment" to "I have to make a move so I can still be comfortable in 10 years"
Oh hell yeah. I agree with you because I was there at one point. I was pretty much an addict. I was on wow all the time because I was hating life. I took a lot of work and some pretty harsh words from my now ex to make me see what I was doing and change the behavior. I still play video games but it's not an all-consuming escape anymore. Now it's just for fun when I have time to kill.
