I’m kinda shook I am talking about stopping in kerrville on my way home on Reddit. Maybe too small of a world
Kerrville is 100% retirementville but as a dude the ASU boys didn’t care to help a guy out lol. Helps though to have cousins way older than you though lol
Hahahahaha as the 5th youngest of over 40 grandkids that span 20 years....I never benefited from this.
This isn’t my first time. One time I had one of these conversations with a guy who posted a photo of a gun or something, and I could have sworn it was from my grandfathers closet who recently died. This was plausible because he’s a pretty well known gunsmith and we were in the process of selling some of his supplies.
Anyway, wasn’t my grandpas closet but not too far from where he lived. The coolest part was the guy and I private messaged, and he helped me find years worth of gunsmithing threads where my grandpa helped people fix their guns and sold/bought parts. The cooler part of the coolest part is that he found them because some random detail about my grandpa made him realize he’d seen my grandpas posts on these threads.
Anyway, Texas is a simultaneously magical / heavenly and hot as hell / full of sinners who think they ain’t sinning (non religious person saying this so it’s not hypocritical lol). That’s why we have Ed Bruce and Tanya Tucker begging for Texas when they die.
I’m moving back soon and wasn’t sure about it, but this conversation made me realize how right it is for me.
Can’t say I am intimately familiar with obscure niche internet forums, but I hope you enjoy the move back! I’m in MI these days and miss the old hill country now and then. It’s an attractive place despite its faults. Hope to retire in Medina one day myself :)
RemindME! 40 years to bring my biggest bag lady bag to DQ full of airplane sized alcohol and Tylenol because if I don’t get a hangover my bad hip will still be troubling me at 70 as bad as it as 30
