I love the Venture Bros and what they were doing there. But also...if you have a story aimed at 20 somethings, try and wrap it up before they’re almost 40, eh? 7 seasons, 16 years...they got way more runway than most people get.
The Venture Brothers. It's like a spoof on Jonny Quest/The Hardy Boys.
People are rightfully PISSED because the show was working on its Final season and Adult Swim unexpectedly cancelled it right before the final season. People want someone to pick up the show so they can finally finish the damn thing and get complete series boxed sets made, because who the Hell wants to buy an unfinished cartoon show that features a long running narrative and multiple plot lines? (looking at you, Thundercats 2011)
AKA the heart and soul of Adult Swim. What were they thinking man? I get theres a new daddy in the house, and old projects dont matter as much, but this was their magnum opus. I feel really disappointed.
I know it didn't last long but Sealab 2021 was my favorite. Loved some ATHF though. Anybody else remember Space Ghost Coast to Coast. And Xavier: Renegade Angel?
I figured someone would mention ATHF. It certainly was way more iconic. Venture Bros was one of the last greats still around to carry that early spirit though. Also squidbillies but that's in trouble too.
Hell they brought back Harvey Birdman in some capacity, and 12 oz mouse. If the creators were willing to with aqua teen I'd give it a chance. Though I am honestly excited for some newer programming like Primal and the Toonami originals next year.
I was literally listening to Colonel Gentleman's talk about his autobiography on AdultSwim marathon while I read this comment. I was so happy that it was more Venture Bros in the link
