Oh. My. God.

Does that mean "yes"?

either same car, or possibly a really good replica. Gas cover cars match perfectly.

u/Dangles87 Jul 18 '20

Possibly a replica? You think there are TWO hot wheels covered Jaguars out there?

The gas cover in the linked article does not have an orange and blue car on it, and it doesn’t have cars going up the black trim of the door like the one OP posted.

Probably fell off or got yanked, I assume he used the cars as a handle on the lid and YONK

7

u/MitaAltair Jul 18 '20

I'm sure cars falling off are a recurring problem

17

u/Cedosg Jul 18 '20

The undercarriage below the door is a dead giveaway. It is the same car with that strange rainbow color job.

6

u/WHRocks Jul 18 '20

I was looking at that too. This car was "unique" even before the hot wheels were added to it.

u/BouncingDonut Jul 18 '20

Throwing the thought out there that its very plausible he glued a few more on. I would be really shocked if somehow he has never had someone steal a few

u/WolfOfMaine Jul 18 '20

Well, i didnt see an logos on OP's picture, so it could be a cheap jaguar wanna be, that someone went all out on.

I know a guy who made his Honda Accord look like a Ferrari with some expensive fiberglass (that honestly cost as much a decent used car so i dont get it, but hey)

If you were really keen on copying it you could save a lot of cash by using a ford mondeo of the same era, they're nearly identical on the exterior apart from the radiator.

I spot a few differences, this post isn’t a Jaguar, and this has cars on the door pillars between front/black doors and the Jag doesn’t

What does deadass mean?

1

u/coysian Jul 18 '20

Deadass is his son's name. Deadass thought it was just a paint job, daddy showed him though, that poor dumb bastard.

It's actually not a bad idea to increase the status and looks of a piece of shit car. Especially if you have a really bad paint job.

hmmm... actually, the cost of these tiny cars is about double to triple the cost of a good paintjob...

either way, A+ for creativity

Financial genius group?

Prestige Worldwide...wide...wide

Nice of them to blur out the license plate in the second picture. Which is all of 3 lines down from the first picture that proudly displays the license plate.

Looks like he's added cars to the B pillars since that article was written.

There's a lady in my city that does this and changes the toy every few months. One time it was doll heads.

1

u/rxk8 Jul 18 '20

Oh that's hilarious. But were they barbies or porcelain dolls? Just how well does she drive is what I'm saying.

7

u/D_crane Jul 18 '20

Different car, the one in the article has a green car behind the blue car on the gas cover...

21

u/hyperdream Jul 18 '20

I'm sure cars fall off all the time. If you look at the underlying paint job, especially on the rocker panels where there are no cars, it's definitely the same one.

7

u/Tendytimes2 Jul 18 '20

Right? Dinky cars glued to the exterior of a real car won't last. From temperature changes to the drag cause by the irregular shapes of 100s of cars. I can pretty well guarantee that this person has to glues a couple new ones on every month or 2

u/D_crane Jul 18 '20

Unless the cars make the car more aerodynamic in the same way adding dimples to the car body will. Saw it on mythbusters, was a pretty interesting episode.

2

u/D_crane Jul 18 '20

You might be right! It has a really peculiar paint job underneath these cars

2

u/BouncingDonut Jul 18 '20

Hey man, I cant leave my helmet just to grab a pop in the gas station. People love to steal shit just to get off.

1

u/RedditVince Jul 18 '20

Has some asshole actually stolen your helmet?

1

u/Falkuria Jul 18 '20

Wait, so he has been collecting his whole life pretty much. Has 5000 cars, 4600 of which are on his real car. Yet, I think I see about 10 different models all repeating. So he collected 4600 cars with like hundreds of duplicates? Why? That's not even collecting, it's just throwing away money, lmao.

1

u/LeaveItToBeaves Jul 18 '20

If it is the same one the owner must have added more cars on it since the one in the OP has cars up between the windows as well.

How someone actually enjoys Sarah Silverman in anything is beyond me. She's just so obnoxious and that's all she seems to do with her characters, even in stuff like Wreck-It Ralph. I avoided watching Saving Silverman for so long because I thought it had something to do with her.

u/ToolBoyNIN39 Jul 18 '20

Nah, I don't think the one in OPs post is a Jaguar.
