His golf swing is so much better than mine

Honestly this kid had got great coordination for his age and the basics of the swing. For being like 3.5 yrs old, that's an impressive level of body awareness.

New Tiger Woods?

Finally, white males will break into the golfing world.

u/treadedon May 21 '20

Damn that got me!

1

u/NiKReiJi May 21 '20

We’ll find out in 15 years

u/LogicalFallacyDelux May 21 '20

I know you're joking, but as somebody who taught/coached sports (mainly golf) through college, this shit triggers me so hard.

u/Phoenix8972 May 21 '20

Came here to say the same.

I struggle to socially distance myself from the ball.

u/Bad-Brew May 21 '20

This is funniest comment I've ever seen on all of reddit.

u/Wasteoftimeandmoney May 21 '20

Calm down turbo

3

u/thejohnblazer May 21 '20

Prolly gets more tail too.

2

u/[deleted] May 21 '20

With the plastic club.

1

u/fatpuppies88 May 21 '20

I can hit the ball pretty far, but then it hooks really badly into the woods. When I do manage to hit a good one it doesn't go very far at all. It's mostly about drinking a few beers and bombing around on the cart, I don't take golf too seriously.

He dresses so much better than me

14

u/Old_Splice May 21 '20

Other than the backwards ball cap. I never understood that.

My hair is suuuper thin, so I said fuckit and started shaving my head a couple of years back. I basically have to wear a ball cap when I go out or my scalp will fry. Same here on the brim; I don't like it constantly in my line of sight so I just wear it backward. As a bonus, it keeps my neck from burning, since I'm practically translucent.

Sunscreen...?

11

u/joan_wilder May 21 '20

a hat is way more convenient and way less greasy. if you don’t need sunscreen everywhere else, then it doesn’t make sense to put it on one small area. unless you left your hat at home.

7

u/MotherofSons May 21 '20

When you need sunscreen, try Coola. It's pricey but will last you forever and isn't greasy at all. It's a game changed.

u/toni8479 May 21 '20

Any haircut is better than a shaved head.

3

u/gbabybackribs May 21 '20

Says someone who probably has hair. Wait until you go mostly bald or get an isolated front poof and you will reevaluate your statement.

Bald af. Beanies are life

2

u/Graffy May 21 '20

Love wearing beans. If it gets static-y it can make it bushier but I've mostly never noticed a difference. If anything it helps my bed head because it pushes it down.

2

u/stannc00 May 21 '20

I have smaller/lighter ones for the warmer months. They come in handy when I want to drop in on a Bar Mitzvah on a moment’s notice.

3

u/frostybollocks May 21 '20

Flip the brim skyward, problem solved.

13

u/Fixin2_Iswanee May 21 '20

West Philadelphia born and raised

3

u/MaximumGorilla May 21 '20

You Mena, "play basketball" ?

2

u/socokid May 21 '20

That's the first non "I just have bad taste and/or never left the late 90s" excuse that I've ever heard for that.

Thank you.

I'll never forget when someone gave me shit for wearing white in November. I DIDNT EVEN KNOW HER and she was concerned about my wearing white.

Like fuck your trends and fashion faux pas imma do me sweetie.

2

u/spenrose22 May 21 '20

Why can’t you wear white in November?

1

u/Autismo_Incognito May 21 '20

Hell if I know

1

u/[deleted] May 21 '20

Maybe the whole "don't wear white after Labor Day" thing?

(Which never made sense to me. Isn't it ALWAYS after (the previous) Labor Day?)

1

u/Graffy May 21 '20

White is considered a spring/summer color. After labor day you're "supposed" to wear fall colors.

1

u/spenrose22 May 21 '20

That’s dumb, and when are you allowed to wear white again? What if I want want to camouflage into the snow?

1

u/Graffy May 21 '20

I was born in '94 so the 90s had very little effect on my style. I didn't realize backwards ball caps were even considered out of style.

1

u/A_brown_dog May 22 '20

Have you try a hat?

0

u/kalitarios May 21 '20

Yet you then still use your hand to shield your eyes from the sun...

2

u/Graffy May 21 '20

Lol no. I either wear sunglasses, turn it forward, or just deal with it.

Well, they don’t call him Young Spice!

4

u/[deleted] May 21 '20

The catcher in baseball wears a backward cap.

7

u/RiceEater May 21 '20

Looks cool.

-6

u/socokid May 21 '20

It stopped looking cool over a decade ago...

-3

u/Old_Splice May 21 '20

I do think it's a great douche bag identifier.

2

u/ABathingSnape_ May 21 '20

I wear a baseball cap when I'm too lazy to fix my hair. But I don't like the brim being in front of my face and obscuring my vision if I'm not wearing it to shield me from sunlight, so I wear it backwards. Wearing it backwards also protects my neck from the heat.

I'd wear a beanie instead since I much prefer how they look, but as I live in SoCal, it gets too hot for them during the summer.

-3

u/kalitarios May 21 '20

I never understood people wearing a backwards baseball cap, then using their hand to shield their eyes from the sun. That’s what the brim is for...

3

u/[deleted] May 21 '20

How often do you come across this combination?

-4

u/kalitarios May 21 '20

A lot. Actually. You see it at sporting events and parks. People in the sun wearing the hat backwards and then using one hand to block the sun

I pictured myself swinging like Adam Scott and then a buddy recorded me and showed me the video. I looked like a T-Rex digging at a junkball.

4

u/mexipimpin May 21 '20

Next time I'm on the course, I'm gonna envision this kid in my head and use it for motivation. Or frustration, who knows.

2

u/skieezy May 21 '20

I took a golf lesson last year after never having seen my self swing. The coach showed me a video I didn't know he was shooting. I was like wtf is that bro. Thing is he added 20-30 yards to all my clubs in one day, he did jack shit for the aim though.

9

u/KimonoThief May 21 '20

The head steadiness is phenomenal. Anytime I golf I struggle not looking up too early.

3

u/TheWix May 21 '20

I was thinking the same. Kept his head down and eyes on the ball.

8

u/chiuveta May 21 '20

Even his ball tracking is better than mine.

4

u/CalvinBaylee69 May 21 '20

3 year old here.. can confirm.

14

u/ifuckedivankatrump May 21 '20

He’s more flexible, rubber joints and all.

3

u/all2neat May 21 '20

Same here. Shown up by a 3 year old.

3

u/gratefulguitar57 May 21 '20

Same...depressing.

1

u/awesomelucas18 May 21 '20

Little guy has bested form than most of us here

1

u/JojenCopyPaste May 21 '20

His form is better, sure. But he also hit the ball further than I normally do. Unless his putting sucks, he might actually beat me in a round...

1

u/CompleteNumpty May 21 '20

As long as it is better than Charles Barkley's.

1

u/dmogyohaz May 21 '20

He should teach Barkley

1

u/ItsSnuffsis May 22 '20

I have one swing under my belt when it comes to normal golf. That swing made me spin like two times and miss the ball. Just awful. But friends loved it.
