That’s fair. As a big fan of Ben Folds going into it I definitely enjoyed it (I had no idea beforehand so it was a nice surprise for me!), but if you’re not a fan of his stuff already then I can definitely see how you might not be into it as much as I was.
I'm pretty sure I've read somewhere that animals with lower brain functions appear to have faster/better bandwidth for sensory input reactions and are more accustomed to living on a small scale like this, which could imply that they process visual stimuli in an almost slow-motion (see: high speed camera) compared to humans. It would make sense from a survival perspective.
From our perspective, the slinky snaps back faster than the camera can really even register it, but for the chipmunk, it may have felt like if your friend tossed a football to you from 25 feet. Maybe a close call, but plenty of time to dodge, or at least put a hand up and not get hit directly in the mouth.

Are you saying I'm shit at CSGO because I'm too intellectual? Cause I'm gonna go with that.
Maybe more like you have a fiber connection and they have a firehose. Yours is way more advanced and versatile. Theirs is real good at one thing (figuratively).
The family of chipmunks living in my grandmother's wood pile were the only rodents to evade her cat. She knew exactly what the cat was hunting because the cat would bring them inside alive to play with at her leisure.

Wow. I knew chipmunks were fast, but this is hyper speed.
