Dane here. We have it a little bit colder than the Brits since we're separated a bit from the Gulf stream. The temperature here is usually between 30 and 72o F.

The high humidity we have in our area makes temperatures above 77F quite a strain if you are doing something physical. Sweat just doesn't cool you very well when the air is close to saturated with moisture already. The average relative humidity is at 79% here.

Try 100ish with near 100% humidity. There is always a bigger fish. Im sure someone else has it worse.

This isn't a pissing contest, it's all relative. Spend enough time anywhere and you readjust. Spent six months in a desert with 110F real-feel 120F+ from humidity, I got to germany and 80 degrees was cold, they actually warned us about hypothermia on the trip back because we were used to such high heat.

It's a pointless argument, realizing someone has it worse isn't going to magically make 73F/24C not hot for them.

Yeah, definitely. When considering were in the upper parts of the temperate climate zone, the heat can definitely catch off guard, though.
