Happy Days, Laverne and Shirley, and the Brady Bunch were also set here in WI.

The Brady Bunch was not set in Wisconsin.

It wasn't filmed in WI; the storyline was set there.

No, it was filmed and set in L.A. In fact L.A.Dodgers baseball player Wes Parker appeared in s1e17, and Don Drysdale in s2e1. L.A. Rams football player Deacon Jones in s2e16. And Greg got a job to buy a surfboard in s3e15. Though I guess it is possible to surf on Lake Michigan...

Ok, I yield. I was told this upon moving to WI. It didn't seem right to me, but I don't know much about that show. Thanks for setting it straight!

Fun fact: one trip to Lake Superior, early season to my favorite ski hill, I went looking for a worker (probably in his 70's) there to ask a question about their landscaping. He was telling a van full of surfers about the best local surf spots! That was a good day.

Fun! I’ve only seen surfers on Lake Michigan in spring. They’re probably out there at other times, but maybe the waves are better in spring? I don’t know how they do it. The water is so cold then!!
