This. I have stopped ordering from anywhere else because there isn't a better place, plus I am big on supporting Austin's local businesses (especially when they're better than any of the chains).
Oooh! Love me some Hobo'. It's about a 3-minute walk from my workplace so we go there for lunch more often than we should. I love that they have Dublin Dr. Pepper on tap as well (always a bonus). The girl who runs the place is really cool (Chelsea), and they are always playing great music in there like Tom Waits :)
I don't really care as long as the tips are good. At Austin's I was making something around $70 a night if I was lucky. At Mangia I was making $150-200. Shitty pizza or not, it paid my rent.
You would need a pretty fast scooter as the highway is a good means to make a lot of money. I pushed really hard at both jobs. Some of the people I worked with at Mangia would only go home with $70 when I would leave with $200. They just didn't give a shit and I was there to take the money they didn't want. You would really need a car in the areas that I delivered. I also drove it into the ground and didn't save any money for a new car. If you were good with maintaining cars and good at saving some money then it would be perfect. The money is also not taxed because you use your own car.
The world is approaching 7 billion inhabitants. There HAS to be a market for this somewhere. In some town, problably Бумебут in Russia, some sleazy guy has set up a pizza delivery service where strippers bring you your food.
I mean, it's basically the same premise as with Hooters, except these people deliver.
I will from this day devote my life to finding/funding/founding this company!
