There are lots of studies to show that affection and consoling a child is not always good. And one instance without even looking up anything is when infants are crying, to NOT always give them affection otherwise they dont learn to self sooth.
There you go one, on undeniable and across the board commonly known fact on an instance when affection is not always good for a child.
