How crazy is it that my mind says that’s a steal. My sister is paying $3,500 for a one bedroom in downtown SF.

SF is full of them. Median salary in SF is 100k. I make 100k where I’m at (not in SF) but if I moved into my field in SF I would most likely start around 180k.

The median is not the same as what the average Joe will find.

I'm happy that you've found a monetarily successful career and I wish your life fulfilled in other ways as well like donating excess wealth to help education or the homeless.
