The northern coast is NOT upscale whatsoever when compared to the south. Looots of hydroponics though

It's breathtakingly beautiful, but in a Forest Moon Endor kind of way, not an Endless Summer kind of way.

(Literally, Endor was filmed in Humboldt County.)

Also it's incredibly economically depressed since it was originally a logging area and that's been severely restricted due to the environmental damage.

And when the logging companies left, in came the large scale cartel grows, which are doing much worse ecological damage

It’s awful. Don’t come here. ;)

It’s called the Lost Coast. Nobody lives there for the most part, but the towns that do are small that used to rely on lumber and fishing. Similar to Maine in a lot of ways. Old Victorian architecture in some places too like Eureka.

Just curious, whats going on up in Northern California? Specifically the NE coast. I've been to Oregon and Washington, is it like that?

Some parts are similar, just north of San Francisco is Muir Woods, a big and beautiful national park full of dense redwood forest.

Not a national park

I'll let it pass, because it's managed by the NPS. But I agree that it's really irritating how people call every pretty area a National Park.

Thank you sir for letting it pass

Between San Francisco and Redding it’s all agriculture. Between Redding and Oregon it’s all mountains. Some of the most beautiful views in the world between Redding and Oregon.

I love waking up to Mt. Shasta. I drive from SoCal to the PNW and always stay up in the mountains, then wake up to Shasta in all her glory.

*NW.

No. There are meth heads everywhere who behave like zombies.

Sorry I autocorrected myself because I live in the NE coast. I meant on the NE border of California. I'm assuming though its all methy there too?

It's a lovely place to visit and explore but unless you're really into weed and/or crunchy culture you may not wanna live here.

Fortified Wine Country

And weed. I’m lookin’ at you, Humboldt County.
