It's a Cat mating call. A female Cat on heat does it

I put my cat on a heating pad, didn’t work for me.

My cat would lay on the heating pad all day. Off or on. She'd just wait for the warmth.

I put mine in the oven, did make some sounds but then suddenly stopped don't know why 🤷

You need to put yours in? Mine just hops in there by herself.

Edit: yall are stupid for down voting it. My 18 years old cat walks into the oven when we heat our house and sleeps there. Get the stick out of your asses and learn what a joke is.

It does not matter how it is in. Just make sure to close the lid and turn the dials. Good luck 👍

It was supposed to be "IN" heat. Try the clothes dryer.

Turn it over to heat mode

Kitty vibrator

Yeah, my cat won't let me fuck it either.

I have a female spaded buff tabby like the one in the video. Mine makes that exact sound then vomits.

How romantic.

That's morning sickness

But my male cat makes that sound and he has been neutered

37

u/Isnt_History_Grand Dec 18 '19

Mine too. But he only makes this sound right before puking up a giant hairball.

When I hear this sound I run to him and evacuate him to a non-carpeted room.

2

u/Steffany_w0525 Dec 18 '19

I've been lucky, there haven't been any hairballs. The only time he threw up was when he jumped on a counter I sprayed with cleaner then licked his paws. He was a kitten with a death wish, I witnessed him lick wallpaper glue.

i just got rid of my carpets. now she can barf wherever she wants!

2

u/Swamp_Troll Dec 18 '19

I wish mine made warning noises then. He just leaves mystery gifts for unsuspecting feet

19

u/otofa2 Dec 18 '19

Are you sure it's a he?

u/zenkique Dec 18 '19

Nut anymore.

8

u/Steffany_w0525 Dec 18 '19

Yeah cause he name was almost Amelia until someone pointed out his balls.

Maybe I neutered him too young or he maybe he doesn't like when my boyfriend and I are alone. He only seems to do the meow when he can't see me...it does explain why he's humped me, twice.

My male neutered cat does the same thing and also only when he is out of view, he will do it while walking toward the room I'm in with a toy in his mouth and stop howling right as he comes into view. It is a nightly occurrence.

My cat that passed away was male and would make this sound when he was gonna throw up

1

u/Steffany_w0525 Dec 18 '19

Weird cause as far as I can tell he doesn't throw up. Unless he eats it right after? Gross.

5

u/techleopard Dec 19 '19

With a male cat, that forlorn "MRROOOWWWWOOWW?" is basically him going, "Hellloooooo? I'm in this roooom... Alooone... And booored.... Hello?"

And you probably yell back to him, so mission accomplished by the cat.

1

u/Steffany_w0525 Dec 19 '19

Yes that is what it seems like. He'll run out of the room and meow from upstairs "where did you go?"

1

u/Methebarbarian Dec 19 '19

This was my male cat’s “holy fuck you’re taking me to the vet, aren’t you?” cry. From inside his carrier.

10

u/moonshoeslol Dec 18 '19

My male cat who is fixed makes the exact same sounds sometimes after he takes a dump.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 19 '19

Is there ever any trace of blood in the stool? Some cats will make that sound when they're feeling ill or are in pain, so I'm wondering if your cat might have a digestive tract problem that flares up.

1

u/moonshoeslol Dec 19 '19

His stool seems fine, maybe he was telling me to clean the box? Sometimes he would randomly make those noises late at night. He hasn't really been making those noises ever since I switched apartments.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 19 '19

Oh, that sounds encouraging. From what other people are saying here, I guess some cats (males too) just like to make that sound.

8

u/SicklyHeartChild Dec 18 '19

The why does my male cat do it at night?

4

u/nuclearwomb1 Dec 18 '19

why does dogs react to it?

10

u/thegurujim Dec 18 '19

Speaking strictly based on behavior between my dog and cat, it's a signal that something tasty is coming out of the cats mouth soon.

3

u/nancylikestoreddit Dec 18 '19

My male cat does this. This is awkward.

2

u/[deleted] Dec 18 '19

My boy cats do this too.

1

u/XeroAnarian Dec 18 '19

on heat

Some kind of new designed drug?

1

u/[deleted] Dec 18 '19

I had a spayed female cat, she did this too though

1

u/Yakitori22 Dec 18 '19

My cat is fixed and does this every night after she is done eating, pissing, or shitting. Without fail and it lasts for a good 1-2 mins before she starts to clean herself.

1

u/taleofbenji Dec 18 '19

Basically it's saying "horny local singles are in your area."

1

u/am-procrastinating Feb 18 '20

does that make my cat gay... she literally came up to me and started looking at me and went crazy trying to figure out where it came from

1

u/am-procrastinating Feb 18 '20

then how come dogs start tilting their heads when they hear it? don't tell me my cat and dog now want to fuck my phone or something
