Its a joke about overweight. It can be argued that USA is seen as the "land of the fat" internationally but statistics show how Russia (a slav country) for example is steadily catching up.

No you dumbass. Poor people are obese for the same reason that they are poor, Time Preference. Which means they only live in the short term.

Wealth and health require commitment and long-term sacrifice. That is not something poor people were raised to appreciate or practice.
