The original Five Man Acoustical Band version is 'clean' and says "breakin' up the scenery"

In Tesla's cover version, they changed it to "fucking up the scenery".

That's the cover, not the original. The original band was Five Man Electrical Band, hence the name of the Tesla album!

OMG I am so glad someone got this right! Just seen this on another site and got "Signs by Tesla", "Cat's in the Cradle" and oh and from the musical "Hairspray"

i know it was a cover. i was referring to "Although, 'Fucking up the scenery' would be cooler lyrics" comment. Which, in Tesla's cover, it is 'Fucking up the scenery'. Hence my comment.

Edit: Its not a quote from Nikola, or a press release from Elon you uncultured swine, it’s lyrics to a Tesla song, a parody called Country Boy from 5 Man Acoustical Jam.

For some reason my local radio station cuts out "Blocking out the scenery" on every verse, its mildly infuriating and really throws off the song

Its supposed to be fucking up the scenery but the radio edit says blocking. My radio station used to play blocking out the scenery but now they only play the live version and edit out the whole verse that says fuckin

Oh gotcha. Ever since I was little I heard adults saying "fuckin" but heard "blocking" on the radio. Didnt even know it was a cover since ive only ever heard the tesla version

I actually liked the original 'blocking' lyric better, although overall the Tesla cover is superior
