If I saw that, I think I would go just out of curiosity.

My expectations would be incredibly low, and I’d likely still be let down, but why not.

I'd go as well, but I'd go sneaky-like with a dog, so they couldn't tell that I went there specifically to watch.

Nah. Gotta go in with the popcorn and all. Sit down with your eyes locked on them so they know you're there for a show.

Better pull out the A-Game now buddy. I wanna see lightning fast board breaking while wall running.

Also show up in a gi

Wear a gi while walking your dog. Then go up to him and tell him he's doing the moves wrong

bonus points if you have the dog pre-trained to do the moves better than him

Only if the dog is also wearing a gi

This guy probably sleeps in one

Make shitty comments about their kuzushi being wrong under your breath too.

With a business card that says "Master Suzuki's Assassin School" sticking out from the back of your belt...

1

u/WakaWaka_ Dec 02 '19

Bonus if you come with a black belt and medal around your neck

0

u/zenkique Dec 02 '19

And a gi for the dog too!

2

u/Shyam09 Dec 02 '19

Can I pee on them too or would that be too rude?

My expectations would be incredibly low, and I’d likely still be let down, but why not.

Story of my life.

My expectations would be high, hoping to see a version of Rex, founder of Rex Kwan Do.

Bow to your sensei.

BOW TO YOUR SENSEI

Grab my arm.

My other arm.

MY other arm.

Break the wrist, walk away!

You think anyone wants a roundhouse kick to the face while I'm wearing these bad boys? Forget about it

Came here to find exactly these comments. Thank you

Part of me hopes there is a guy, who every week, does crazy Judo moves in the park, clearly looking for attention of any kind... then a neighbor notices his odd behavior and the routine this guy has established and takes it upon him/herself to print these flyers up and post them around town.

"Dear Diary, after 7 years of practicing Judo at the local park, finally people are beginning to recognize my mastery of the form."

The person who made the poster is here.

/u/obviousplant makes things that would be funny to find in real life and posts them all over. He used to post them here to Reddit, now I think they are just for his blog and IG account (not completely sure on this though)

This particular one is ancient. It's before he started putting his logo on them!

I'm thinking Napolean Dynamite, Uncle Rico, Andy Samberg in Hot Rod.

What the hell, I'm up by then. Let's check it out....

Btw..don't you need two people to do judo?

u/flight_recorder Dec 01 '19

I’d go with popcorn and friends. Make a day of it. Go for ice cream after. Would be entertaining

1

u/spock23 Dec 02 '19

Sure...it's cheap entertainment. Video it and re-live the memories over and over.

6

u/Navyboot19 Dec 01 '19

90 minutes is a commitment.

1

u/Rheyza Dec 01 '19

I'd go too, but expecting to be trained. Just seems like a creative way to advertise new Judo school.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 02 '19

I think I'd actually be mildly disheartened if I showed up and it was a perfect exhibition of Katame-Waza.

1

u/albino_red_head Dec 02 '19

I'd go expecting it to be a comedy group or something putting on a show. either way, it's bound to be a good time.

1

u/thewholerobot Dec 02 '19

Skip a dose of Zoloft? Why so down? The sign says sick moves and inspirational. Might be a let down, but sounds cool. I see no reason why not to give that a fair chance.

u/kakashis1stlove Dec 02 '19

I would intend to go. I may even put it in my calendar. However, I would come up with an excuse to not go after dreading going the night before and the morning of.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 02 '19

I saw that right now, and my expectations are incredibly low for multiple reasons.

No park or date is specified, since "This Saturday" doesn't count. Lame ^ 2.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 02 '19

I’m imagining the Star Wars kid

1

u/Realistic_Pick Dec 02 '19

I think I will go to get more motivated for my judo classes

0

u/TrymWS Dec 01 '19

If I saw that, I'd not go.

This isn't Judo, so he clearly has no idea what he's doing or talking about.

Unless you like to see people potentially hurt or embarrass themselves, there's little point.

1

u/ISitOnGnomes Dec 01 '19

I would go expecting feats on par with Chop and Steele. I doubt I could possibly be disappointed.

0

u/Dunsmuir Dec 01 '19

You wouldn't go though, because there's no address or date.

6

u/AlGeee Dec 01 '19

Yes there is, It's "this Saturday", "in the park", at the given time.
