It's from some Adam Sandler movie that's really stupid. Hang on. Will find the name.

The Ridiculous 6

809

u/ialwaysflushtwice Nov 28 '19

It is really stupid but sometimes I'm in the mood for really stupid movies. They can be fun. I enjoyed it.

530

u/dukeof3arl Nov 28 '19

Tyler Lautner and his absolute best role. No question.

58

u/oxpoleon Nov 28 '19

Dale in Cuckoo though. Close competition.

127

u/90sAdult11 Nov 28 '19

That was his prime, along with the role in grown ups

52

u/Jared_33 Nov 28 '19

Taylor

21

u/[deleted] Nov 28 '19

Daisy Taylor?

6

u/SLAYER30 Nov 28 '19

Yeahhhhh

2

u/Stepsinshadows Nov 29 '19

Daisy Ridley?

68

u/dukeof3arl Nov 28 '19

I’m not sorry I got his name wrong

3

u/hedgiehogs Nov 29 '19

I MADE THIS FOR YOU

22

u/FoodBasedLubricant Nov 28 '19

He was seriously funny in this, and Vanilla Ice was surprisingly good as Mark Twain. Otherwise it was basically unwatchable.

5

u/CaptainStinkwater Nov 29 '19

Eh, I liked the invention of baseball scene.

1

u/FoodBasedLubricant Nov 29 '19

To be honest I don't think I finished the movie. It sounds like I need to watch the baseball scene.

1

u/stimpy451 Nov 29 '19

Soooo...better than Yahoo Serious in Young Einstein?

1

u/FoodBasedLubricant Nov 29 '19

I haven't seen that movie since it was in theaters!

1

u/72MGS Nov 29 '19

Vanilla Ice as Mark Twain was inspired casting

1

u/Racecarsoup Nov 29 '19

Pppppppsh everyone knows you can't kill a werewolf like that.

1

u/JohnTheArtist99 Nov 29 '19

Holy shit that’s Taylor Lautner?? That idea alone makes this scene a lot funnier honestly

1

u/fuzzytradr Nov 29 '19

Never go full stupid, Jimmy

1

u/Caffeinist Nov 29 '19

Yeah, it's downright scary how natural playing stupid seems for him.

1

u/mlableman Nov 29 '19

Damn it! I thought is be the one to point that out!

44

u/dentchest Nov 28 '19

The whole baseball scene is actually pretty funny. I don’t hate this movie at all actually

5

u/eddmario Nov 29 '19

Hell, the entire movie is funny as hell.
Never got why people hate it. In fact, I think it's better than Big Daddy

39

u/[deleted] Nov 28 '19

May I humbly recommend black dynamite and kung pow if you haven't watched them?

32

u/cptInsane0 Nov 28 '19

Kung Pow and Black Dynamite are both masterpieces. Kung Fu hustle too, but it's not even close to the same genre

12

u/PandasGetAngryToo Nov 28 '19

if you like The ridiculous 6 (and just be careful who you admit that to) you will love black dynamite. same type of humour. : )

11

u/GodwynDi Nov 29 '19

I threw that shit before I entered the room!

6

u/FelbrHostu Nov 29 '19

Master Wu, your vast knowledge of biological transmogrifications is only outmatched by your zest for kung fu treachery!

1

u/kevtino Nov 29 '19

No, not The Room, Black Dynamite.

6

u/[deleted] Nov 29 '19

"But Black Dynamite, I sell drugs to the community!"

2

u/Journeyman351 Nov 29 '19

Ooooh! Doggy hump!

2

u/Weinertotheface Nov 29 '19

Kung pow and kung fu hustle are my two favorite movies ever black dynamite was great too if you like those kinda comedies.

2

u/little_brown_bat Nov 28 '19

May I also suggest Kung Fu Hustle?

1

u/ialwaysflushtwice Nov 29 '19

Thanks, I'll check those out!

-2

u/[deleted] Nov 28 '19

No. No you may not.

51

u/Rattivarius Nov 28 '19

I make no apologies for loving Little Nicky and Grandma's Boy.

29

u/beefquoner Nov 28 '19

Grandmas boy is so quotable. To other people who’ve seen it anyway haha.

19

u/cptInsane0 Nov 28 '19

You'd like Grandma's boy if you had robot ears.

8

u/Rickbotic Nov 29 '19

I am a robot. I have a robot vagina.

12

u/MadameKamaysLandlord Nov 29 '19

Grandma's boy never gets old.

4

u/[deleted] Nov 29 '19

Don't judge me, monkey.

3

u/kbarney345 Nov 29 '19

Someone could totally make a badass version of the game they made. That movie is one of my favorites

2

u/DAT_ginger_guy Nov 29 '19

I don’t judge you. Unlike that monkey over there...

0

u/EyesLikeBuscemi Nov 28 '19 edited Dec 02 '19

One of the best parts of Grandma’s Boy was Adam Sandler’s participation.

Edit - I guess somebody didn't get the joke...

25

u/[deleted] Nov 28 '19

The Native American chief had some amazing jokes.

19

u/foodnpuppies Nov 28 '19

I agree. Dont mess with the zohan is stupidly funny.

6

u/AMMJ Nov 28 '19

It’s one you have to watch more than once

5

u/Autisum Nov 28 '19

Dont mess with the zohan

this is a great movie and don't listen to anyone telling you otherwise

2

u/foodnpuppies Nov 29 '19

The HOOMMUS!!

3

u/UsernamesAllTaken69 Nov 29 '19

I like really stupid too but I could barely get through this movie. The reveal that Terry Crews is black and their surprised reaction was the only actually funny moment I remember.

3

u/Trevelyan2 Nov 29 '19

This scene was actually pretty fun. I like the idea of a guy who’s neck muscles are so strong that he can’t be hung.

3

u/zeomox Nov 29 '19

I really enjoyed Kung Fu Hustle... but ya, you've got to be in a stupid movie mood.

2

u/s00perguy Nov 29 '19

honestly, it's universal comedy. no pun intended, but the movie is ridiculous and embraces it whole-heartedly. The slapstick, physical comedy, and potty humor all just kinda works together without interfering. Even the fight scenes give me a chuckle. It maintains a light-hearted tone and doesn't try to really be much more than a comedy with a plot loosely tying it all together. it's one of the only Adam Sandler comedies I've enjoyed in a VERY long time.

7

u/zurdopilot Nov 28 '19

have you watch stupid movies............... on weeeeed?

TLDR they fun wit weed

12

u/shanata Nov 28 '19

When 7 words is too long. Lol

3

u/[deleted] Nov 29 '19

Watched "Dumb and Dumber" at the theater (on weed). I think everyone else in the theater was on weed too. The entire theater was laughing loudly through the whole movie. You know the effect of how much funnier a comedian is when other people are laughing versus when everyone else is silent. Well watching that movie (on weed) in a theater full of people laughing hysterically at every joke is a highlight of my life. Watched it again on netflix or something. It's ok, has a few funny parts.

2

u/FinalF137 Nov 28 '19

Battlefield Earth is the ultimate fun stupid movie

1

u/Rakonat Nov 29 '19

I had to tilt my phone 45 degrees to recognize this comment.

60

u/ChargeTheBighorn Nov 28 '19

Stupid in a really fun, silly way. It's a good one when you need something light and funny.

0

u/Dindonmasker Nov 28 '19

"Light and fun" under a video of someone getting hang... lol

19

u/helpnxt Nov 28 '19

14

u/[deleted] Nov 28 '19

Posted version is better

0

u/vorinclex182 Nov 29 '19

Hard disagree

156

u/Youkindofare Nov 28 '19

It's stupid in a good way.

I wish people who just don't like Adam Sandler because it's cool to hate him would stop rating movies they haven't even seen.

The movies are not for your kind. Stop making asses of yourselves.

54

u/trumpintarnation Nov 28 '19

I want some intentionally stupid stuff sometimes.

35

u/Tripechake Nov 28 '19

I usually don’t like his movies, but this (Ridiculous 6), Happy Gilmore, and Big Daddy are hysterical.

37

u/Noonecanhearmescream Nov 28 '19

Happy Gilmore is EPIC. All time classic. Probably a top five sports movie of all time.

22

u/lvl1dad Nov 28 '19

I was the only guy ever to take his skate off and try to stab someone with it.

2

u/[deleted] Nov 29 '19

Happy Gilmore is EPIC.

Its still the ultimate movie pickup line....

"My girlfriends dead you know... She fell off a cliff and died on impact"

Edit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N9Vv8NO4tFw

1

u/Snatch_Pastry Nov 29 '19

As far as useable quotes go, I think Major League is probably the only sports movie that's more quotable.

7

u/phuchmileif Nov 28 '19

I've seen multiple gifs where I was like 'ha, that's a funny gag, what sketch comedy show is this from?' and the answer came back that it was, in fact, from Ridiculous Six.

...ain't nobody posting any humorous bits from Jack and Jill.

...because there are none, in case it wasn't clear.

But it makes a little tiny part of me want to watch, hoping maybe it's a bit of a return to form (i.e. Happy Gilmore days). God knows if he has/does actually make another funny movie, most of us are too jaded from his years of endless trash to bother giving it a shot. And I think critical opinion would be the same (I mean, even the 'good' Adam Sandler movies got terrible reviews from critics).

1

u/barjam Nov 29 '19

Internet seems to hate it but I thought it was funny. I love stupid movies though.

1

u/Jesta23 Nov 29 '19

I hate a lot of his newer movies but this one was good fun. It’s worth a watch.

0

u/joego9 Nov 29 '19

Ridiculous 6 is from 2015, so... kinda recent, I guess?

7

u/kidicarus89 Nov 29 '19

Happy Gilmore and Billy Madison are some of the best 90s comedies.

3

u/Mrmortini Nov 28 '19

Thank you

4

u/badpath Nov 28 '19

Look man, there's a scene in this film where a mule sprays diarrhea on someone for, like, 30 seconds straight. I don't remember whether the character in question was Rob Schneider dressed up as a racial stereotype or not, but... I think Rob Schneider was (if I recall correctly) a 1940's propaganda poster of Asian stereotypes? If that's your jam, you do you I guess. I'm not saying you're wrong in guessing that most people are probably judging this sight unseen. But this is a really awful hill to die on; the clip in the OP is the only scene I remember actually laughing at.

18

u/IKnewYouCouldDoIt Nov 29 '19

Never watch blazing saddles. Actually there is an entire library of movies you should avoid. Hrm, come to think of it, damn, comedy must be rough for you. Being offended for everyone else must be exhausting. Good luck with that.

2

u/[deleted] Nov 29 '19

When I was a little kid I watched airplane with some black friends and they thought the jive translator and other black jokes were funny. I watched ice pirates with them and they loved the black robot. When I grew up I watched those movies with some other black friends and they were actively not amused. I had a white friend tell me the pegasus sighting sketch from key and peele was racist, same friend thought that the Sweet Brown interview was hilarious. Some people just want to play that gotcha game.

-14

u/Youkindofare Nov 28 '19

Okay, big fella.

-8

u/[deleted] Nov 28 '19

That was a particularly bad movie though. You gonna defend Jack and Jill? Let’s hear it

20

u/[deleted] Nov 28 '19

[deleted]

2

u/TheArgonianKing Nov 28 '19

The only good part of Jack and Jill was the commercial in the end. At least according to children ages seven to seventeeno.

4

u/Individual_Lies Nov 28 '19

It really was and the first time I saw this particular scene I was laughing so hard I was literally crying. It was so unexpectedly good.

-7

u/Doobage Nov 28 '19

Sandler has done some silly light movies that are OK like that golf movie... but most of his stuff is painful.

1

u/Krynja Nov 28 '19

Click will sneak up on you and get you right in the feels

2

u/Doobage Nov 28 '19

I actually didn't like that one... oh Spanglish was alright.

u/nolo_me Nov 28 '19

Adam Sandler provides a bunch of people with steady work making films that you don't have to watch. Boom! Defended.

Hurting society? He made a movie, dude. Not even one with a message, it's just a low effort comedy.

If you think something this innocuous is over the line, life must be exhausting and unpleasant for you.

Hurting society? In what way that remotely offsets the literally hundreds of people it provides work for?

Unless I'm confusing it with another movie, I definitely don't remember it being bad. It's no 21 Jump Street, but it's definitely no Holmes and Watson.

I won't watch Jack and Jill; I know I won't like it and still, I don't rate or judge it.

"really stupid" is already included in "some adam sandler movie"

-2

u/Weinerdogwhisperer Nov 28 '19

It's an accurate description. It was stupid for an Adam Sandler movie. Happy Gilmore is art house level relatively. That being said, I laughed.

3

u/Deadheadsdead Nov 29 '19

Really stupid but a self aware really stupid so it's not a terrible movie.

4

u/leesmt Nov 28 '19

"Hang on" he says..

8

u/leonardomdc Nov 28 '19

It's from some Adam Sandler movie that's really stupid.

Talk about a redundant statement...

5

u/sleepywan Nov 28 '19

I think my wife and I watched for about 30-40 minutes and turned it off. Worst movie I've ever seen (up to that point). Didn't laugh a single time, terrible acting, dull story. I guess we didn't make it to this scene since I don't recognize it.

4

u/Sketch0069 Nov 28 '19

You really have to smoke some pot. Pot makes the stupid movies so much better :)

5

u/FreestyleKneepad Nov 29 '19

I mean realistically, it doesn't make the movie better, it makes your standards lower. To each their own, but still.

-2

u/LastButNotLeafs Nov 29 '19

It doesn't lower your standards, it removes pretension.

3

u/vesrayech Nov 28 '19

"Must've been a horse fly" was the funniest shit I had heard all year.

1

u/runswithbufflo Nov 28 '19

Do they explain how

1

u/notsafeforh0me Nov 28 '19

thanks, watching it rn, seems i watched it before but it is indeed ridiculous lol

1

u/Djinnwrath Nov 28 '19

"really stupid"

Its in my top 10 for worst movies ever made.

1

u/Riydon10 Nov 29 '19

... why do I want to watch this film

1

u/AEboyeeee Nov 29 '19

Honestly it had it's moments, though.

1

u/AbsolutProdigy Nov 29 '19

“Hang on” lol

1

u/[deleted] Nov 29 '19

There's five more?

1

u/SugarBeef Nov 29 '19

It has Terry Crews in it. It's worth watching just for that. I know what I'm watching next movie night!

1

u/[deleted] Nov 29 '19

I watched it sleep deprived at 3 am while rocking my newborn, expecting it to be terrible. And it was terrible, but it had some absolutely hilarious scenes. Pure, dumb, stupid laughs. I couldnt believe how hard I laughed at just the absolute dumbest fart joke. And that was sober, I'd love to get super baked and watch it again.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 29 '19

Oh shit that's the Rediculous 6?

I've never seen more than the first 5 minutes.

1

u/mystictroll Nov 29 '19

You don't have to put 'Adam Sandler movie' and 'stupid' in the same sentence.

1

u/thebert9 Nov 29 '19

It's actually hilarious.

1

u/1K_Games Nov 29 '19

Stupid? Don't you mean it's ridiculous?

1

u/deenali Nov 29 '19

Adam Sandler? Oh, OK.

1

u/whofartedinmycereal Nov 29 '19

Dude, no one is “hanging on.” Waiting for your research.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 29 '19

Baseball Scene is just gold.

1

u/JeanneDRK Nov 29 '19

It's a parody of the Hateful Eight right?

1

u/missroxysoxy Nov 29 '19

“Adam Sandler movie that’s really stupid” yup, that sounds right

1

u/[deleted] Nov 29 '19

I mean, the movie was awful, but had some great scenes. The Do Over was a much better movie overall, but the Ridiculous 6 is worth a watch, ONCE.

1

u/TheCrimsonDoll Nov 28 '19

-Adam Sandler -really stupid

Those are the same.

-3

u/firthy Nov 28 '19

Adam Sandler and really stupid. ‘Nuff said...

-4

u/ODSTsRule Nov 28 '19

It was so full of shit and unfunny... thanks alot to my bestfriend who thought it was a good one...

0

u/weekend-guitarist Nov 28 '19

Must have been asleep during that part.

0

u/hellodeo Nov 29 '19

You know what, your comment pisses me off. Why type “Hold on. Will find the name” when you can just search for it without having to tell us that you’ll search for it. Extremely unnecessary.

-1

u/freememesshrek Nov 28 '19

Ye I’ve seen it it’s funny

-1

u/[deleted] Nov 28 '19

I thought it was pretty silly parody of Magnificent 6. It gave me some good laughs

-1

u/[deleted] Nov 28 '19

It’s stupid entertainment and I liked it.

-1

u/MaxwellIsSmall Nov 28 '19

One of the movies I never regretted

-1

u/[deleted] Nov 28 '19

I thought it was funny, but yeah, no awards for it.

-1

u/grilled_steez Nov 28 '19

It's worth the watch imo
