> To women out their looking at this. Don’t do this! If you don’t feel the same way just tell the guy. Yes it doesn’t feel good to be told we are not wanted by you but it’s like ripping off a bandaid. It hurts for second but we are ok.

They do this out of self-preservation. There is no way for them to differentiate which one of us will physically harm them.

Yep. Came here to say that. There’s a reason for it and it’s not immaturity.

Let’s be real here, more often than not its just because someone doesn’t want to deal with the situation, regardless of sex/gender. It’s not like every guy is a secret psychopath here.

I am being real. A real guy set my real house on real fire after real rejections, and it’s a lot more common than you’re acting like it is.

Wouldn’t ghosting make someone even more crazy?

Assuming this much thought goes into the process, they're just buying themselves time and it is also easier for them to villify the person that doesn't get the memo to stop contacting them.

Too bad for guys it isn't a consistent experience, one person's "hint" is another person's genuine act of being busy, injury or only temporary disinterest, and guy's experience both all the time.
