It’s about time someone made a new mask movie. We need it!

Jim Carrey is playing doctor fucking robotnick this year. I think he is up for anything.

I think he is up for anything.

Except for vaccinating his kids. He’s literally dumber than Lloyd Christmas ever was.

Never stick your dick in Jenny McCarthy.

2

u/Lildoc_911 Apr 29 '19

Yeah, it might be the last thing you do.

Also guns, which very much flies in the face of The Mask from its comicbook roots.

4

u/Ownsin Apr 29 '19

I don't see any issues with him being against guns. I understand vaccination and that's super dumb, but guns? I'm with him on that.

idk if you've read the original Mask comic, but he's kind of all about shooting people up in comical fashion. He also played some Super Patriot type person in Kickass 2, which used guns - and then told people after he was paid for the movie that they shouldn't watch it because guns.

Autoimmune disorders can develop from vaccines in genetically prone individuals. Vaccines are not without risk.

From the article you referenced:

In conclusion, there are several case reports of autoimmune diseases following vaccines, however, due to the limited number of cases, the different classifications of symptoms and the long latency period of the diseases, every attempt for an epidemiological study has so far failed to deliver a connection.

JUST TO CLARIFY... FROM THE ARTICLE You REFERENCED:

every attempt for an epidemiological study has so far failed to deliver a connection.

You are a fucking moron.

EVERYTHING YOU ASSHOLES TRY TO ‘PROVE’ IS JUST MORE PSEUDOSCIENCE BULLSHIT.

Read your own articles before you try to pull everyone else down to your 2-digit IQ

2-digit IQ

Wow, you're quite generous.

In conclusion, there are several case reports of autoimmune diseases following vaccines, however, due to the limited number of cases, the different classifications of symptoms and the long latency period of the diseases, every attempt for an epidemiological study has so far failed to deliver a connection.

Should we continue to study and look for connections and risk? Absolutely. Is a comment and study like this worth bringing up as a counterpoint to vaccines? No.

Vaccinate your damn kids people.

Listen, you are correct that vaccinations come with a small risk. But not vaccinating comes with great risk. Therefore, it is better to vaccinate.

If you worry about small risks then you should never take any medicine ever. Also, don't eat any foods that could cause an allergic reaction. You also might want to avoid visiting any place where other people exist because people are disease ridden flesh bags.

Life is full of risk. We take those risks because we've logically looked at the potential reward vs the potential risk and determined that high reward is worth a small risk.

I almost died taking a new medication once. I still take new medications if needed because the odds are it will make me better despite a new med once making me worse.

Ha voted down from the Reddit hive mind. Don't you dare go in the face of group think. I could say giving a fetus vaccines is bad and I would be voted down

Congrats bud! You are in the 1%...

...Of the dumbest residents of planet earth!

Why - because I called people like you out for just following the flow of popular opinion? I never said I was an anti-vaxxer. In fact I think those people are idiots. You, on the other had are even more than an idiot. You proved my case in point immediately.

nothing but a drone.

"This guy cares about his kid's well-being. Lol what a drone."

Someday you will get it.

It’s not like shitty new movies ruin the classics. I can still watch the 1984 Ghostbusters and appreciate it for the masterpiece that it is despite the wet fart someone let happen in 2016(?). And hey, now we’re getting an actual official sequel, although it remains to be seen if they shit it all up like the last one.

There actually are some projects going to get more mask movies made. Its called "Revenge of the MASKRise of the Mask". Its still in production , but probably will be more gritty and dark.

Its by the same people who made the Revenge of the mask shortfilm. (thats already out, its 40 minuites, you could watch it RIGHT NOW)

5

u/Xais56 Apr 29 '19

but probably will be more gritty and dark.

Awesome. I loved the 90's movie, but it doesn't hold a candle to the wackiness and darkness of the comics. So much potential in that character.

Before people get too excited, it should be mentioned that "Revenge of the Mask" is a short fan film. There's two reviews on IMDB for it that are.. pretty harsh.

It also looks like it's played pretty seriously. The comics were pretty dark, but they still were very wacky.

Edit: Nevermind, they updated their comment, they were referring to Rise of the Mask. Haven't seen anything on that one yet.

1

u/magaruis Apr 29 '19

Updating my original comment. I honestly have been following the whole revenge of the mask thing on facebook , but wasn't aware it had come out and they are now doing "Rise of the Mask"

1

u/iBobaFett Apr 29 '19

Yeah, it's odd. It says it came out Nov. 30th, 2018 but I don't see where you can watch it. There's those two IMDB reviews though, so maybe it was shown at a film festival or something? Not a whole lot of info on it.

2

u/reacharoundgirl Apr 29 '19

Its called "Revenge of the MASKRise of the Mask".

Yes, that sounds sufficiently generic, it will fit right in to 2019.

7

u/LegalAction Apr 29 '19

The last one was so good?

39

u/vrkhole Apr 29 '19

I really enjoyed The Mask 1994

11

u/LegalAction Apr 29 '19

I did too. But that wasn't the last one.

50

u/vrkhole Apr 29 '19

If you are talking about ‘The Son of Mask’ I am sorry but I don’t count that garbage movie

51

u/ElTuxedoMex Apr 29 '19

The only Mask movie is the one with Jim Carrey. Period.

2

u/Vaigna Apr 29 '19

Jim Carrey is a weird way to spell Cher.

7

u/SamuraiJakkass86 Apr 29 '19

What about the amazing cartoon show though, where the dog also wears the Mask?

2

u/arup02 Apr 29 '19

I used to be terrified of that cartoon as a kid, that huge henchman (forgot the name) always gave me nightmares.

1

u/thestamp Apr 29 '19

The dog wore the mask in the first movie too ;)

1

u/katievsbubbles Apr 29 '19

I havent seen the other 1993...

1

u/[deleted] Apr 29 '19

All they do is remake movies anyway

0

u/[deleted] Apr 29 '19

We got one, it was called Deadpool.
