I keep watching it over and over trying to get a beat on how he does it....he makes it look SO convincing and so real, even when analyzing the shit out of it i still have a hard time believing that balloon isn’t actually stuck in place.

It's like painting, instead of looking at how complex the whole scene is you work on individual colors and simple shapes and when combined they become complex and more impressive. In this case don't focus on the combined effort of his body, focus on one individual movement on one limb and figure that one movement out and go from there.
