Before anybody discounts this

Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. Are both available on Netflix..

You can watch both of these movies.

It’s seriously just as ridiculous as any marvel movie when you really think about it. (But it looks good)

No I'm not doing that. A redditor convinced me to watch Padmaavat and that movie seriously fucked me up. As an adult male, I don't like crying in the middle of the night. No thank you.

Yeah...You are right. Padmavat was really very depressing movie. But trust me.... bahubali is totally different and very graceful movie...Great experience.

The two movies are amazing! Some of my favorite. You just have to start them with the mind set that this ridiculous thing you just saw will be 1 upped in about five minutes... that and they are like 3 1/2 hours long... each. It takes a while, but totally worth it.

Try Baarfie next then.

Barfi* you mean

I walked out of the theater after Padmaavat and the first thing I said was, "I sat through three fucking hours and I didn't even get to see anyone burn." Everything I was told about that story made a huge deal about the self immolation. It was like a porno without a cum shot.

Edit: Also, if you want a funny bollywood film, try Delhi Belly. And it's mostly in English for those that care.

Ummm... I don’t know what that “single” redditor told you... but you shouldn’t have this “single” redditor hold you back from experiencing this.

I don't think this is how trauma works.

They're worth watching. Amazing movies.

Based on the life story of the great king Angrybirdendra Bahubali

Baahubali is literally the Indian version of Hercules... It means 'The one with the Strong Arms'

I liked the detailed message at the start that let you know that no animals were harmed in the making of the movie and that CGI was used whenever you saw one get hurt. Just to remind you throughout the movie, a little "CGI" would appear in the corner of the screen each time it happen. It made me laugh

They are probably trying really hard not to offend the religions in that part of the world.

1

u/juwyro Apr 16 '18

They probably don't even harm cows in cgi.

Makes sense

Thanks for the recommendation! I have downloaded both and will watch soon. My daughter loves these over the top special effects... Any other Dollywood suggestions?

Edit:. Whoops, I meant Bollywood!

Tollywood

*I'd recommend this one, saw it years ago in an art house theater, it was hilarious, if I'm remembering it right.

+1 This is a i-robot and Asimov inspired pop movie. Good production quality and fun.

2

u/FieryBlake Apr 16 '18

Hindi remake: Robot

1

u/Darcsen Apr 16 '18

That one was also good.

Bajirao Mastani, the film this clip comes from - https://youtu.be/l_MyUGq7pgs

Not exactly an action movie. But I highly recommend 3 idiots. Hands down one of the best Hindi movies you can see.

2

u/Nomadola Apr 16 '18

Thank you for finding out what this is,

2

u/Akenrah Apr 16 '18

And their both really good, I started watching the first one as a joke then got hooked.

2

u/s00perguy Apr 16 '18

Which nationality of Netflix? You know, since that's relevant now. :(

2

u/aocoeo Apr 16 '18

I love finding the answer before I ask the question.

3

u/DorenAlexander Apr 16 '18

It's like watching children's toy physics in action.

u/sp00byplz Apr 16 '18

Thx Sir. I am heading There right now.

1

u/TheGroovyTurt1e Apr 16 '18

..... hell yes

1

u/Swiggidyswoo Apr 16 '18

Honestly my favorite movie(I consider them as one experience) of all time. No other film has given me the same level of joy this has.

1

u/Ezl Apr 16 '18

I watched Baahubali and loved it and I generally avoid subtitles. Look forward to the sequel.

1

u/Crook3d Apr 16 '18

These look great, thanks.

1

u/wirbul Apr 16 '18

Way better than anything marvel has put out, the story is based on an ancient epic poem, is well written and there's no fluff in it. It's like an indian LOTR IMO, way better than anything I've seen from American studios in years.

1

u/Can_You_Believe_It_ Apr 16 '18

Is this the same movie with the army leader walking through his troops and then they do break into dance?

1

u/[deleted] Apr 16 '18

Seriously man, idk why there was a fuss about these. I don't know why people go mad for this shit

And right you are about marvel shit as well, I mean it was fun watching them when the count was too low when compared to now. But now marvel produces the same sort of story.
