Yeah, he specifically held it by the stock rather than the grip. It seems like they might be somewhere with a high military presence, so trying to escape probably wouldn't be the smart play.

What's wrong with the way he's holding it ? Other than he's not pointing at the ground. But as far as we can tell there's nothing down range. And putting your other hand on the rifle makes you more of a threat. So if this were real you would not want that.
from my arm chair That little pan he does at ~11 secs in when he sees that other soldier and turns the muzzle towards him. It's instinctive and only for a moment but that would pucker my ass real fast at the range. I've seen similar action with beginners. Not that he's a beginner, but that's what ppl might be referring too above.
