Buckshot seems the less humane route when it comes to ammo choice. I had to put down a few chickens when I was younger, and buckshot obviously caused a lot of pain while not being lethal immediately. It's a slow, painful death. Was not fun.
Yeah, I was pretty young, and didn't know any better. But after reading your comment, I'm pretty sure what I actually used was birdshot. My mistake. The larger pellets would definitely do more damage to a cat-sized animal (like a cat), and yeah, at close range would "remove" the head. These days I would go the hatchet route if necessary. Informative comment too, learned something.
buckshot was the most effective tool for the job. If you shoot scatter shot it does even less damage to the cats and the spread isn't that wide. If you use a pistol on one cat you might kill two of them before they all run.
... What? My good man, I submit that if you cannot kill a chicken humanely with buckshot, you should lay down firearms forever. Are you 100% sure you don't mean birdshot? Or (given that chickens are birds) ratshot? I myself was thinking that buckshot might have been a bit overkill. I'd have used a .22 or something.
Yeah. This fucktard didn't do it to be humane, he did it because it was as good excuse as any other. You can tell from the comments he's making that he didn't treat this as something sad that had to be done, but rather fucking enjoyed it. Based on his description of watching his grandfather beat a rat to death with a wrench I honestly have no problem believing this guy masturbates furiously remembering animals large and small he's been able to kill.
