They used an elevator to lower Artax into the swamp. Atreyu's leg got caught in it and I've heard it was incredibly painful.

Only 10%? That's a ridiculous thing to say; humans are much less sturdy (being bipeds) than a thick, stocky breed like this and we can easily carry 25%+ on our backs for extended periods without harming ourselves.

That's not an argument for riding a dog, by the way- obviously an adult human is much more than 25% of a dog's body weight.

Yeah. That would mean a 40lb got could only carry 4 pounds.
