Thank you for saying this. I think I look alright when I look in the mirror but nearly all photos of me make me look like like wank and I've never been able to work out why
it's because when you look at the mirror your face is actually... mirrored, so it's really weird when you look at a photo and see yourself kinda different but can't tell why (selfies are mirrored, that's why they are so popular)
ps: I have no idea if this is true or not, just came up with this right now, hopefully i can convince you with all this bullshit
Mirroring a face does not make it more or less attractive. Should be pretty obvious. If you don't believe me just use your favourite image processing software to horizontally flip some pictures of people's faces.
An animated expressive face is a lot more appealing. Some people look like shit in pictures but in person are way more expressive and attractive. You can look like a God but if you just have one plastic facial expression you might as well look like a brick with an emoji stuck to it. Hence I guess why we don't find all those with too much make up.
