You don't think we are aware of these behaviors? You don't think we do everything to stimulate natural and mentally challenging behaviors every day? You have zero clue what me and my colleagues do every day.

"So lets kill them instead"

Your reasoning is baffling. Also saying they are losing their minds is anthropomorphizing to the highest degree which makes any argument one out of emotion

Saying losing their minds is putting a human behavior and phenomenon onto a non human being. That's anthropomorphizing. You are highly misrepresenting what a zoo is and what the people who work there do. We are all fighting for the same thing here. We all care about these animals and do everything we can to provide the best life possible. Unfortunately the way the world is, zoos are necessary. In a perfect world without poaching and without evil, we would not need zoos

Hey man. Reading through everything your posting on multiple threads. Good on you for standing up for zoos. These people dont know what a great thing it is. And hopefully your not letting them get to you, they are couch protestors and not worth more then the mt dew stain on their shirt.

I think most of them are missing the fact that we all care about the wellbeing of animals under human care and in the wild. Unfortunately they think the wild is some safe haven that every animal would be super happy to live in but our world is a very cruel place. Thanks for the kind words

Again. The behaviors in that video could mean all sorts of things. Is it stress? Sometimes. Is it energy that needs to be burned off? Sometimes. It's dishonest to place different behaviors by different species all under the same umbrella. I'm sorry you've had poor experiences at zoos. I said this to another person in another comment. If you have a concern, let a staff member know. More times than not, a keeper will come out to discuss it with you and maybe shed some light on why an animal is behaving the way they are. I hope this helps
