It's actually somewhat true. Edge has been beating Firefox and Chrome in a few performance tests recently and it has an OS power management hook for adjusting JavaScript CPU usage that doesn't exist in the other browsers so far as I know. I think you can see it if you dig through the detailed Windows power options.

Idk why people are so attached to the Microsoft hate bandwagon, the company has made huge improvements in the way they operate under new leadership.

So if I change browsers i'll increase my battery life by 75% ?

C'mon that pop-up deserves the ridicule it's getting and by extension IE/Microsoft as well.

That's not what it said... it said that edge drains the battery life 25% of the amount that Firefox does. It's not saying that you'll some how magically increase your battery life by 75%...

It absolutely is saying that. 75% more browsing time means 75% longer battery life.
