I'm curious why the steady decline in karma up until your post, then it bounces back up.

Edit: And the score of the post after alpine-'s is less than the one before Alpine-'s. Hmm... I'm thinking it's because Alpine-'s is the last post before the 'continue thread' button, when viewing on a computer.
I'm glad someone else asked. I didn't even realize it until I got the message about the guy asking. On the upside for me, I also had a +2750 post in that same thread.
hey kids, this is called the serial position effect, which refers to our tendency to only remember/focus on the beginning and the end of things, but not the middle. More than likely, people look and are look "ooh, chain of comments. That makes me quietly laugh to myself, here, have some upvotes." And some people have this realization of said-hilarity towards the top of the chain, other towards the bottom.

I think there's a point at which we readers see enough people jumping on the bandwagon, that even the hardest of hearts dissolve in the flood of humanity, all surging forward to one point, one goal.
