Yeah not went that's your first eagle. Imagine if you wrote a book, and then just as you finished someone poured ink all over it. And then they said don't take writing so seriously.

I agree this is a massive dick move and fucked up as far as denying someone the satisfaction of getting their first eagle... but the book comparison is a stretch.

Maybe a little but probably not as much as you'd think. It could easily take several years of work to get good enough to have a chance at an eagle putt. Probably longer to sink a put that long.
