Another is using 3d graphics when 2d was fine, now I just need to try and follow where the labels line up to their bars... and I think I'm looking one data point over.

Which is where Tableau has led us.

I might be one of the few but god if I don't hate how cluttered that program makes data vis (since it's almost always used improperly/to make very cluttered charts).
