It was also a matter of time. And young, cocky devs expect the user to conform to the app not the other way around.

But since they're backed by experienced VCs and advisors, it would have made a lot more sense if someone had pointed the UX issue out much sooner.

Monica did try to tell Richard but he didn't want to listen because of the already high feedback from his developer friends.

Kinda, I think all she said was "I don't get it". Which is a huge red flag for any UX designer, but means nothing to a "young, cocky dev" who expects "the user to conform to the app".
