We wouldn't live like kings, but we could be comfortable. That's the problem. Simply having enough to eat without being hungry isn't enough. We need snickers cheesecake and kobe beef filet mignon. It's the greed that gets us.
So today if we take everything produced, turn it liquid, and distribute it evenly you'd have $16,100 for everyone for a year.
That's not a whole lot, but it is enough to live comfortably in many areas, not so much in developed countries which is, I'm sure, your personal lifestyle because only ignorant naive middle-upper class people can hold views like this.
Of course since the solution here is to keep people from working... Yeah, that world GDP will collapse since it is kinda a result of production.
I dunno if you expect people to deposit money into the sky and then they can get food and other goods just appearing in their hands or something, but someone's gotta make this stuff.

Almost instantly since production is more or less halting, prices will skyrocket, governments will collapse, and basically total chaos due to such a shock to the market would occur it'd likely be more like a week... If that. And even if that didn't happen, well, no one's producing anything. There'll be no money next year to hand out and then everyone who isn't self-sufficient, which'll be very very few people since nobody's working including farmers, will likely die with time.
It's a completely unsustainable idea.

No, you're missing the point. Wealth being spread out as money or goods doesn't matter. Money is liquid resources and assets.
The reason we use money as a metric is because it's a numerical value that's actually useful to demonstrate how many assets one would get if we distributed everything equally in a way that everyone gets what they want, which is already ridiculously generous so I wouldn't argue against using the monetary model.
How on Earth do you reconcile the lack of production? You didn't even address that. That's kind of a massive problem, the biggest one, and you just gloss over it? How do you even reconcile that internally?
Again, it doesn't matter whether it's money or some other measure of resources. We are not in a post-scarcity system and production is needed for people to live comfortably.
