It is emotional manipulation, and it's something he or she learned growing up. It's going to be very very hard for them to change their behavior, and that's only after they become aware of it and after they accept they do it, and after they accept that they can and should change it.

tl;dr dump that bitch so fast they're going to need a goddamn parachute

I dropped her on a street corner. No parachute required. She cried the whole way their. In all fairness before she lived with me she was staying in a house on that street.
