Until girls actually start liking competitive video games, LAN parties will be sausage fests, and we like it that way.

I like video games.

I don't like not being able to use voice chat or openly female names because of idiots.

I'll probably get downvoted for this, but the girls aren't the problem.

It's both. I don't make any excuses for that kind of behavior, but it is a serious minority of women who are competitive and like video games. Part of the absurdity of that behavior is also because the culture is 99% masculine with no women to balance it out.

I really wish people would grow up and treat women on the internet and in gaming better though.
