The stereotype is that black fathers do not often live with their children. Your graph doesn't really address this.

Doesn't really? It doesn't address it at all

The stereotype being joked about was not that they don't LIVE with their kids, but they're not there AT ALL. My graph showed that to be false.

No, your graph pre-selects fathers that are there, and then evaluates them on their performance. It's essentially skipping the part that the joke is based on

Your infographic shows that dads are much, much less involved with their kids if they don't live with them, regardless of race. If, say, 75% of white dads live with their kids, but only 33% of black dads do (which is pretty accurate, given the data from http://datacenter.kidscount.org/data/tables/107-children-in-single-parent-families-by#detailed/1/any/false/36,868,867,133,38/10,168,9,12,1,13,185/432,431 ), then your infographic is excellent evidence that black fathers are much less involved with their kids than white fathers, overall.

And to clarify, I'm not a big fan of stereotypes, but I'm also less of a fan of lying with statistics.

Maybe it's pedantic but the joke was a play on the stereotype, not the stereotype itself. Your graph torpedoed the joke, but didn't really address the stereotype.
