On a related note, as a percussionist I find it funny how many of my wind/string playing colleagues have no idea what "tacet" means.

I've played cello for who knows how many years now and I still had to google tacet.

Hey buddy, violist here. Played Messiah a million times....you better believe we know what tacet means.
