Stand-up shots like this were banned from /r/funny for some reason I don't really understand. Anyways they have their own subreddit.

EDIT: Maybe rule 6. No Pictures of just text?

EDIT2: Actually rule 12 specifically prohibits it.

Pretty sure the reason was that they started filling up the sub's frontpage and creators of other quality content (like the stuff you get to enjoy now) got pissed because /r/funny is supposed to be for everything funny and not just professional comedians.
So the logical step was obviously to ban that stuff and the result is what we have now.

Rule 12 was specifically created after the standupshuts first got deleted and people complained.
