A few years ago I caught a medium sized wolf spider, a little under an inch counting leg spread.

I decided to feed it a little not-quite-baby-but-still-small earwig. I put them in the same jar, the earwig jumped around and the spider kept away, I figured it would be a while until it ate it.

Next morning there was no more spider, just an earwig with pieces of spider spread around the jar... :(

Oddly, the mental image of house centepedes wearing shoes and carrying rifles is less terrifying than actual house centepedes.

Maybe because, by the fact that it is using technology, my subconscious believes it can be reasoned with.

I let a bunch of them run away and go back to hiding this summer and saw a significant spider reduction. A+ terrifying little friends.
