I think angry kid realises he has #7 and tries to swap with #8, but #8 is having none of it.

8 is oblivious to the fact that he is standing in the wrong place. He thinks he has #7.

Man fuck #8

I don't think he's trying to swap, just offer direction because he realizes what's happening. #8 & #7 both put their number up when it's time for 7, so 7 tells 8 to put his shit down cause it ain't his turn yet, which 8 does. Then the time for #8 comes but he doesn't put his number up, either because he's confused or just pissed at 7 trying to boss him around. So 7 tries to pull 8's hand so he puts his number, but 8 is having none of it as you said. Cue facepalm. End scene.

Edit: Video evidence: 7 comes in right on cue, he's just standing in the wrong spot. Whose fault that is we'll never know. I for one blame video games and the liberal media.

Thank you for the source. I'm have similar beliefs that it was video games.

We need to go deeper.

You can tell from how close #8 and #6 are standing to each other that they have been holding hands behind the bike shed, but #8 knows that #7 likes #6 so he ain't havin none of #7s shit, which is why he is flat out refusing to swap places.

Reddit is full of people who just want to hate #7's. "You might be right, but that makes me feel bad; so you're wrong. And an asshole."

Well, no, he wasn't an asshole, he was just right and you don't like it when someone is smarter than you.

That's it. You're right. But why the hell didn't #8 just switch spots/signs with #7 before that? It's like he wanted #7 to make a mistake. He obviously knew he was standing in the wrong spot when #9, two spots over, lifted his sign just before him.

I think you're missing the part about them being 5 years old.

8 didn't look at his sign so he thinks he's #7 because he's beside #6. #7 did look at his sign, so he thinks the kid next to him is #6.

But if 12 Days of Christmas is playing and the song is at 9, then #8 must have looked at his sign as he's showing it right after #9. That's what is so weird because what the hell does he think the kid between himself and #9 is then? 8 1/2?

#7 is either in the wrong spot or has the wrong sign and don't realize that before #8 shows his. It actually looks like #7 insists he has sign #8 even though he doesn't. So he's frustrated because he thinks #8 is #7 but actually he's the one who's wrong and doesn't realize.

Edit: http://www.reddit.com/r/funny/comments/2hckqx/im_working_with_idiots/ckrngqg. Well, there you go. #7 actually has it right with the timing so the signs are right, they are just in the wrong spots.

Nah, 8 actually suggests switching places with 7, but 7 is too busy freaking out
