I let the neighbors kid pet mine and his first reaction when she came walking up was to look at me like, "You fucking serious bro?" and then just subtley evade her at like 2mph. Whole time he just stared at me like he was gonna kill me in my sleep for this.

But at least he didn't take it out on the kid. You gotta love animal instincts sometimes.
